Did you know that globally, around 25 million children missed at least one dose of fundamental childhood vaccine in 2021? Currently, more than 84% children have received vaccines in Bangladesh within 12 months of age. So, what about the rest? Finding under-immunised and zero-dose children from hard-to-reach communities and bringing them under the protection of immunisation has been a top objective of Gavi’s fifth strategic phase (2021-2025). With a vision of “Leaving no one behind with immunisation” and a mission to save lives and protect people’s health; the Country Learning Hub (CLH) has been working to increase equitable and sustainable use of vaccines in Bangladesh. Initiated by icddr.b & Gavi, the Vaccine Alliance, the CLH is committed to reaching the zero-dose, under-immunised, and missed communities as well as ensuring that they receive the full benefits of immunisation. Let’s work together to make sure no child is left behind! Join us in celebrating #WorldImmunisationWeek as we work towards reaching every child with lifesaving vaccines.
